Note: DENSO has two seats per training system, you may be paired with another student at your station. 

Day 1

  • General robot system configuration
  • Overview of robot/controller components
  • Teach Pendant operation
  • Programming commands
  • Create and run programs using Teach Pendant

Day 2
  • Create programs using WINCAPS III offline simulation software
  • Teach robot positions using WINCAPS III and Teach Pendant
  • I/O interface
  • I/O expansion-board combinations
  • Preventive maintenance and inspection

RC8/a Advanced Robot Programming and Operation

Our basic class is a prerequisite for this course.  This course is recommended for Programmers, Machine Builders, and System Integrators.

  • Tool-coordinate system
  • Work-coordinate system
  • Interference area
  • Current limit
  • Tip compliance

Day 2
  • Motion skip
  • Panel Designer
  • External device communication / interfacing
  • Supervisor task (software PLC)
  • RC7/8 expanded functions (collision detection, etc..)

4-Axis Robot Maintenance

Day 1
  • Motor-replacement procedure
  • Belt-replacement procedure
  • Brake-replacement procedure (HS series only)
  • Power-converter-board replacement procedure

Day 2
  • Controller and robot replacement procedure
  • Calibration procedure (Calset)
  • Controller-component replacement procedure
  • Limited major error-code troubleshooting procedure

6-Axis Robot Maintenance

Day 1
  • Motor-replacement procedure
  • Belt-replacement procedure
  • Power-converter-board replacement procedure

Day 2
  • Controller and robot replacement procedure
  • Calibration procedure (Calset)
  • Controller-component replacement procedure
  • Limited major error-code troubleshooting procedure
